I believe this is related to the google sign on and likely any SSO option response being sent to a new instance rather than the "original" instance. I suspect Flathub can't actually do anything about this. Another idea to try: disable any ad blockers you might have. I have Privacy Badger and it was blocking something that Google needed in order to authenticate.
